8 goals and Sami didn't score any of them, tsk. I mean, well done to the big Finn on keeping a clean sheet in his 100th European appearance.
great goal by Ryan Babel, I have to say. The one that he backheeled in wasn't half bad, either...... John Barnes, eat your heart out. |

so in the world of football my team is eastenders. well mr **** holloway i'd rather be some dodgy bbc soap with occassionally ludicrous storylines than boring old predictable shakesphere. may you choke on your own quotation rammed vomit.
on a happier note england have drawn belarus and kazakstan, i might have to get me passport out, now that we're shite again we may lose that awful awful band... _________________ Britain... It's not that Great! |

R.I.P, Phil O'Donnell
a couple of months back, I saw a programme examining why so many footballers are just collapsing and dying out on the football pitch. I'm not sure now what conclusions, if any, they came to, but there seemed to be a recurring theme of clubs with doctors giving players too many pills to play through pain. Has football really become more important than life or death?

after watching a woeful argyle performance in cardiff and then what felt like hours in grangetown argos, the year can only get better |
I was gutted that i couldn't make a trip to my fave other championship ground this season however those comments and those of me mates (worst performance of the seaosn apparently) made me a little grateful.
Anyhoo...
Tell you what has hacked me off about seb going to wolves (ffs! not a premier team or even west brom or watford or a side that has a record of developing strikers - seriously if currently better players like Eastwood have stepped back at molineux...) is that i'm not upset about that because what is it preventing? Argyle becoming the next Fulham or Wigan? A steady bottom third of the top flight side who's nearest entry to europe will be a cup run in a season when the top 4 decide they don't want to pursue a cup? Who can have no other dreams but that and have to pay £40 odd to watch their team be at best a small obstacle to those who can actually get in the CL? (er champions league not championship!).
From crap new stadia to dominance of a select few clubs what hacks me off is that i can't even dream of my side competing for anything anymore regardless of who does or doesn't stay. And so i can't even get angry over ambition or lack of it...

Kelvin Koogan is back at Newcastle! Obviously its madness of the highest level but it pleases me that something like this can still happen. He has given up life in a "Soccer Circus" to follow his dream and for that must salute him:
