What the fuck were they thinking?!

Not seen it - elaboration please?

New single is okay, but I hate buying best ofs for 2 or 3 new tracks...

Heard both new tracks at Glasto this year. Not much to say about them, except they sound, yer know, like REM....

For tracklisting see: http://www.nme.com/news/106229.htm

I can name several tracks that should NOT be on there, and many more that SHOULD.

As a casual REM fan, I'm infinitely happy that they remembered "Nightswimming" because it's my fave track by them EVER.
But... where oh where oh where is "Shiny Happy People"???

Shiny Happy people is the Wake Up Boo of REM's catalogue. Everyone recognises it, but it's no where near "The Best Of" their output!

Missing tunes:

Leave
Find The River
Country Feedback
aaaaaw LOADS of others!

It's a singles collection rather than a real 'best of' (could call it a greatest hits except most of them weren't hits), hence no Leave or Country Feedback. Versions of both songs are on the second B-sides and 'rarities' disc.

Can't understand why no Find The River though.
