Just listening to A Northern Soul for the first time in years.
Bloody fantastic!
I really liked their first 3 EP's but A Storm In Heaven was dissapointing.
I didn't take a lot of notice when Northern Soul first came out, but I saw them at Glastonbury and I was sold, even if it was something like 3 in the afternoon.
It all went down hill after that, they should have stayed split up really.
Urban Hymns was an Ashcroft solo album, I think. I'm not impressed with his later solo stuff at all. Still him & Nick Mcabe was a force to be reckoned with.
I'm gonna stick She's A Superstar on after this and float off around Neptune somewhere
