Just listening to The MasterPlan B-Sides Album.
It's incredible just how fucking spectacular Oasis were for those two short years! The period from Live Forever being released right through to Wonderwall just has to be the best 12 months of output by any band ever.

Gee, must be pretty lonely in that club huh?
but no matter, as a singles band, Oasis were fucking monumental right throught to Stand By Me. _________________ "fashioned by the blade of a world that doesn't care,

I also prefer Morning Glory but I don't consider Definitely Maybe shitty. I also like some of Be Here Now. But the rest got boring. L&P _________________ Man is the only animal clever enough to build The Empire State Building and stupid enough to jump from it. |

said it before but 'be here now' is still the best oasis lp. i can't understand why it got slated-you tell a group they're the best rock'n'roll band in the world, give 'em loads of drugs and then bitch when you get a bloated, self-indulgent masterpiece. we're six years down the line and it sounds better to me than 'urban hymns'.
we get the bands we deserve. history will be the judge. |

IMHO on Morning glory you could have thrown away Roll With It, Hey Now, She's Electric and swamp song.
But with Definitely Maybe I think only Digsys dinner and Up In The Sky were throwaways, everything else was class.
They were however the only band ever where their b-sides album actually matched or bettered there albums proper, and there were plenty of other b-sides that could have made it even better! _________________ When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bike. The early Suede B sides where great, right up until the point where Bernard left and then they needed all save all the decent songs they could.
Whats the best B-side ever then? Rain? Acquiesce? My Insatiable One? |

"Digsy's Dinner" was the first Oasis track I ever heard so I'll always love that one. Having heard Definitely Maybe and Morning Glory for the first time ever yesterday (seriously), I think that Morning Glory is the better album. _________________ "It's too beautiful to stay inside..." |

I actually liked
Digsy's Dinner, She's Electric
and
Roll With It
...
But Kris didn't like
Mobilise
(on AFM) either so he's a bit weird. _________________

I never said I didn't like it, I just said it does nothing that Corporation Man didn't do much better a full year before
