Ronald Reagan, actor, liar, is dead. A great man, listen.....

Aids

"Maybe the Lord brought down this plague... [because] illicit sex is against the Ten Commandments."

Armageddon

"For the first time ever, everything is in place for the battle of Armageddon and the Second Coming of Christ. It can't be too long now. Ezekiel says that fire and brimstone will be rained upon the enemies of God's people. That must mean that they will be destroyed by nuclear weapons."

Vietnam

"We should declare war on North Vietnam... It's silly talking about how many years we will have to spend in the jungles of Vietnam when we could pave the whole country and put parking strips on it, and be home by Christmas."

Civil Rights

"I favor the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and it must be enforced at the point of a bayonet, if necessary."

and

"I would have voted against the Civil Rights Act of 1964."

Student protest in Berkely, Ca.

"If there has to be a bloodbath, then let's get it over with."

Ecology

"The American Petroleum Institute filed suit against the EPA [and] charged that the agency was suppressing a scientific study for fear it might be misinterpreted... The suppressed study reveals that 80 percent of air pollution comes not from chimneys and auto exhaust pipes, but from plants and trees."

and

"Approximately 80% of our air pollution stems from hydrocarbons released by vegetation. So let's not go overboard in setting and enforcing tough emissions standards from man-made sources."

All the tributes to him yesterday were along the lines of "He was a lovable buffoon who had no idea what was going on but was good at making speeches". Sample quote: "He didn't read his briefing papers because he decided to watch the Sound of Music instead". I'm off now to tell my boss that I can be arsed working today because I quite fancy watching The Wizard of Oz.

Apparently he told some visiting jewish dignitaries how he helped liberate Belsen, and proceeded to describe a scene from a movie! Similarly to Bush he liked to bandy the words good and evil about a lot and was fired by a bibical view of world events. Bush firmly believes that the jewish people must all be gathered in the holy land for the coming of the last days!

Reagan also use to make decisions based on the horoscope. To think that we live in a world where these, in all reality unstable crackpots, head the only superpower and sit on megatons of nuclear weaponry!

Morrisey announced it on stage at a gig in Dublin on Saturday to loud cheers, the papers here are scandalised, some poor american morrisey fans are in shock!
