I have it. It comes in a plastic box too - about damn time, cardboard CD sleeves are horrible. Yer Cat looks like a tiny gorgeous thing
My view so far is that "Machines" is far away the stand out track, followed by "Good Life". "Into Thin Air" comes third, but the drum & Bass breakout I was looking forward to so much seems a bit stunted, oh well.
Least Favourite so far is "Metamorphic Rocks".
As I type this "Weaponized" is about to come on, so I shall pause at the end of this sentence. <pause>
</pause>
OK so Weaponized is a standout track, and let's face it, we all knew it was going to be!
So after one single listen I'd say it's very very good. I'm sure prolonged listening can only improve my view of it.
Love
Kris

damn right its good and damn right its better in a plastic case.
like all the artwork, too. be nice on a shirt.
i love 'every word you sound'. That's my fave so far. but i love all of it, really.
I was actually disappointed by 'good life'. The live version sounded so much better with Martin playing the keyboard, much more atmospheric.
but still its all great.
'here here' on the live album idea, though. The gig was
completely
different to the album.

album arrived this morning. cheers postie
seems pretty good after one and a half listens.
i need lyrics. especially for the bit of weaponized that was on the loop, as it's stuck in my head, but i've no idea what any of the words are. |

that seems plausible. the "seeing double" bit isn't very clear, but the rest is definitely right.
thanks very much!
seeing double can only lead to trouble
seeing double can only lead to trouble
seeing double can only lead to trouble

Although we got a freebie I felt morally and ethically obliged to go and purchase a copy, which I did this morning. There was a mild panic as I couldn't find it on the racks but alert staff retrieved it from under the front counter.
The album is magnificent; compelling, hooks aplenty and enough swooshes to out-swoosh N*ke. If Dan of Hoddeson-shire is reading, give us a tinkle and our spare is yours.
Am now wondering if I eat as much fungi as bc, I'd be as svelte as he. |

i think it might be both
seeing double can only lead to trouble
seeing double running into trouble
alternate lines
that's what it sounds like at the moment anyway... |

on my second listen, sounds even better through headphones, all the rich layers of sound coming through clearly...Good Life and the title track are faves so far but there's a lot of cream here.
Love the artwork. I like digipacks too, no complaints about clear jewel cases. Teeny kitten! Does she post here? |
