How easy is it to be a football 'pundit', i must have read 376 articles this week, all of which have predicted:

1) Chelsea will win the league.
2) Man U and Arsenal might challenge them.
3) Liverpool and Spurs might do well
4) The newly promoted clubs will struggle

If people can't think of anything new or enlightening to write then they should fill their pages with something useful like posters or song words. But I've read all 376 articles so i'm part of the problem rather than the solution.

Getting back to 'meltin...''s point, i reckon Portsmouth will do well this season and to back up that claim I've put Robert in my fantasy team.

does Mohammed Sissoko have the longest legs you have ever seen on a professional footballer? He was quite fun to watch.
villa on the other hand looked a bit shit except for kevin phillips.

The Villa game was being shown live in my local but we didn't get the first 15 minutes due to problems with the satellite and therefore managed to miss all 4 goals.

the same happened here in chicago. It didn;t come on until after half time. They were very lucky to get a draw. But it looks like Baros will be coming this week which makes me very excited.

growing rumours suggest little michael might be coming home, which is quite exciting, if we can get him cheap.

it's amazing how quickly your opinion can change on a player. last autumn/winter baros was our main striker, scoring loads of goals. now, after a half-season goal drought and some disinterested performances, i don't really care if he leaves. a new club where he's first choice could be what he needs to get going again. i hope so (except if he scores against us).

Still Tommy Boo should be happy as at least Finland were on the right side of a 3 goal winning margain tonight!

Even though Denmark have a pretty good team at the moment, losing 4-1 against them is still a bit embarrassing. I feel that it's time for a change now, Eriksson has done well but he's criminally overpaid and he has nothing more to give for England.

But yeah, I was delighted to see Finland beat Macedonia at Skopje on Wednesday... 0-3 is pretty good, considering that a lot of good teams have been in big trouble at Skopje. Aleksei Eremenko jr. could be Finland's next big star, he just has to grow up a bit because he's much too selfish at times and loses his temper easily, but his free kicks are quite amazing.
We won't have a chance to qualify for the next World Cup anymore, but I think the future's looking good for Finland. Our new caretaker manager just had a perfect start for his Finland career, and Roy Hodgson will take his place next summer when his contract at Viking Stavanger (Norway) runs out, just in time for the Euro 2008 qualifiers! Smile

Weren't your womans team who got through to the Euros in England this year the first Finnish team to ever qualify for the final stages?

Yeah, they reached the semi-finals so they did very well! Smile
The quality of football there wasn't too great, but I watched Finland's games anyway...
Our men's team is now better than ever, I believe, but we've still got a looooooooooong way to go. It'll be a big day for me if Finland ever reach the final stages of Euro or World Cup during my life...
Perhaps Roy Hodgson will lead us to the Euro 2008 finals!

Damn Chelsea! At first they got lucky against Wigan with their last minute winner and now they beat Arsenal 1-0 at home after another lucky(ish) performance.
Can't believe how much Chelsea have spent money to "build" (buy) their current squad... FIFA or UEFA or someone should do something quickly before all this gets out of their hands. They should install some sort of a wage cap perhaps (just like NHL did now), otherwise the players' wages will grow ridiculously big, and it would slowly kill the whole game.

I think Chelsea will win the league again, Arsenal or ManU will battle for the second place, and Liverpool might be fourth if they can find a world class striker. Let's hope that I'm wrong though and Wigan wins the league! Laughing

Sheffield United will win the Championship this year because they've signed the greatest striker of all time . Very Happy
Wish we still had him in Barnsley. Sad Well, good for Kinkster!

Barnsley will struggle again in League One, perhaps with a little luck we'll get to the playoffs. Sky Sports still think that our top scorer this year is a bloke called Patrick Foletti who's in fact a Swiss goalkeeper who doesn't even play in England. Shocked

I'd have been really pleased with Baros going to Villa if we got Solano as part of the deal. Would like Mickey O back but Rafa doesn't seem that keen, we really need cover at the back though, if Carragher or Hyypia get injured then we're in trouble.
