nevermind Discy, just being a bit silly again.
do you ever go to see football there in Ireland, some local club perhaps? what's the Irish league like? I only know Coleraine and Glentoran and... er... Cork City?

Jose Mourinho is a
bunt

I don't mind Jose, he does amusing interviews which is very important to anyone who currently spends 23 and half hours a day watching Sky Sports News. I'm really glad we got Rafa instead of Jose though, I don't think Mourinho's way of going about things would have been right for us.
I also like Rafa's interview technique of blatantly ignoring any question which has been asked on TV and waffling anything he wants to. We should employ Bob Dylan to do our press conferences.
Poor old Fergie, he really should have quit after they'd last won the league. He should have had the guts to get rid of Giggs, Scholes and Keane a couple of years ago.
Tommy, is it true that kids in Finland don't start school till they're 7? Does that mean you're two years less clever than other people on this board or do you have to stay at school till you're 17? |

Yup, it's true. Kids start the primary school (or comprehensive school?) when they're 7 and it lasts 9 years. But the majority of the kids also go to the high school or some sort of a vocational school after that which takes usually 3-4 years.

I thought you would have noticed that already!
Anyway, this conversation doesn't belong here, it belongs to the
SCHOOL!
thread... |

So if I want to follow the Premiership this weekend I basically have to put my life on hold to do so:
Saturday 3pm
Blackburn v West Brom
Charlton v Tottenham
Portsmouth v Newcastle
Fulham v Man Utd
Saturday 5.15pm
Sunderland v West Ham
Sunday 11.15am
Man City v Everton
Sunday 1pm
Wigan v Bolton
Sunday 1.30pm
Arsenal v Birmingham
Sunday 2pm
A Villa v Middlesbro
Sunday 4pm
Liverpool v Chelsea
What a load of bollocks that is.
And why do the England team always reveal their line-up and tactics to the opposition two weeks before a game? |

| Wow, really wasn't expecting that result, we need to start creating chances soon. Bit depressing all in all. |

Yeah, I'm a bit disappointed too... Liverpool played so well in the Champions League and now they lose 1-4 at home. Chelsea are now top of the league by 10 points and I don't think they're going to lose that lead anymore. Well, now I can fully concentrate on following League One and the Finnish Premier League then...
Yesterday was a good day though... Barnsley 4 - 0 Oldham!
Highlights
here
edit: Oldham, not Bristol City...

| Holland are 2-0 up with half an hour to play and so it looks like England are going to the World Cup without any of that play off nonsense. Come on you plucky orange heroes. |

Only caught it on Five Live but sounded like a better performance.
Booing Crouch? What the fuck?! _________________ "fashioned by the blade of a world that doesn't care,

The Juventus and Liverpool youth teams played each other in a match to honour the 39 people who died at Heysel, yesterday which I think is a nice idea.

On a different note, how long have chairmen got in on the act of appearing in the squad team photo for the year? I thought it was just players, the manager, coaches, the trophies you've won and possibly huge adverts for Monkey Beer if they sponsor you. But no, there's Davids Moores sitting in the middle of the front row beaming away.
